柑桔根系对缺铁的生理反应

PHYSIOLOGICAL RESPONSES OF CITRUS ROOTS TO Fe DEFICIENCY

  • 摘要: 柑桔在缺铁条件下,幼苗根系分泌H+和还原Fe3+的能力增加,与植株吸收铁素营养的能力相一致。摘除缺铁失绿的新叶和顶芽,抑制根系分泌H+和Fe3+还原物;但随着新叶的重新长出,根系分泌H+和Fe3+还原物的速率逐渐提高。说明缺铁失绿的组织能调控根系分泌H+和Fe3+还原物。在营养液中加入0.1nmol/L生长素(IAA),能解除因缺少失绿组织对根系分泌H~+产生的抑制作用。此外,在缺铁条件下,吸铁能力较强的酸橙根尖发生膨胀,有利于铁的接触吸收。

     

    Abstract: An experiment was conducted to study the root secretions and Fe3+ reduction of citrus grown in nutrient solution with and without Fe supply. The results showed that H+ efflux and Fe3+ reduction by the roots of citrus increased in the case of Fe deficiency. The higher the rate of H+ efflux and Fe3+ reduction, the stronger the abilities of Fe absorption by citrus species. H+ efflux and Fe3+ reduced substances release by the roots were inhibited by removing chlorotic leaves and buds caused by Fe deficiency, and progressively increased as they sprouted again. It suggested that H+ efflux and Fe3+ reduced substances release were regulated by Fe- deficient leaves and buds. The inhibition of H+ efflux was elimilated by adding 0.1nmol/L IAA into nutrient solutions. Moreover, it was observed that the root tips of tangerine, the species with strong ability to absorbe iron from soils, were swollen, which is beneficial to uptake iron by contact between roots and soil particles.
