The validation of modeling effects of different nitrogen levels on the leaf nitrogen and yield dynamics of rice

  • This paper described the soil nitrogen and fertilizer nitrogen effects on the rice (Oryza sativa L.) growth in different stages and how about the rice absorbs the nitrogen process and nitrogen distribution in the organs. By means of the rice growth simulation model ORYZA, combined with the field experiments and water tank plots, the model and nitrogen dynamic modules for rice were tested and validated. The modeling results presented a reasonable fitness with the real measured results on the biological yield, economic yield, leaf nitrogen content and total nitrogen of rice. The relationship co-efficiency between the modeling and measured figures for the biological yield, economic yield, leaf nitrogen and total nitrogen of rice were r=0.9889;r=0.9922;r=0.9597; r=0.9234 respectively. The results indicated that the rice model and nitrogen modules can predicted the actual rice growth and nitrogen accumulation and distribution dynamics in two rice varieties.
