Effects of different planting densities and fertilizer levels on quality traits of high-oil soybean

  • The effects of planting density and fertilizer level on the high-oil soybean quality traits were studied by the means of using a split plot experiment with two factors. The results show that oil content of the high-oil soybean is increased both with the decrease of planting density and the increase fertilizer level, while, protein content is decreased. There are significant differences of oil content among the cultivars, such as cultivar Nongda 15751 has the highest oil content. Contents of stearic acid and olcic acid are higher in the middle planting density treatment, while, contents of linoleic acid and linolenic acid are higher under the high density treatment. There is not significant difference of palmitic acid content among the different planting density treatments. Content of fatty acid of high-oil soybean is more affected by the fertilizer levels. Contents of palmitic acid, stearic acid and olcic acid are reached to their higher levels under the high fertilizer treatment, while, contents of linoleic acid and linolenic acid are reached to their higher levels under the low fertilizer treatment.
