Abstract
The nutrient release characteristics of controlled release fertilizer indicate the strength of controlled releasing and nutrient supply at specific time and can also reflect the quality of coated materials and the processing techniques. The nutrient release characteristics of MEISTER 180-day controlled release fertilizers were evaluated in this study. For the two different high and excessively low temperature treatments, water extraction and soil incubation methods were used in order to guide the application of MEISTER 180-day controlled release fertilizers. The results showed that the 55℃ temperature had a significant effect on the nutrient release characteristics of MEISTER 180-day controlled release fertilizers, with differential rates (η△t) being 6.6 %-8.9%. The differential rates (η△t) were 0.1 %-0.6% with excessively low temperature treatments. Nutrient release characteristics of MEISTER 180-day controlled release fertilizers showed linear relationships, with R2 being 0.8552-0.9505 and the rate in water release and soil release were 1.0-1.3. The results showed that the temperature treatments and water content had little effect on nutrient release characteristics of MEISTER 180-day controlled release fertilizers.
