Abstract
A laboratory incubation method and a pot culture experiment were conducted with the objective of investigating the phosphorus efficiency of sewage sludge and decreasing the environmental risk due to the accumulation of P in soils. After sewage application, soil available phosphorus and total phosphorus absorbed by Chinese cabbage (Brassica penkinensis) are significantly (P2O5 is 90-270 kg/ha, the phosphorus efficiency of sewage sludge is 25% of that of MAP.
