Study on the  effects of N, P, K fertilizer in Sesame

  • In order to explore the optimum fertilization parameter of N, P and K in sesame production, the effects of N, P, K fertilization were studied using white sesame, Zhengzhi 98N09, and black sesame, Ji 9014, under field conditions through the 3414design. The results indicated that appropriate amounts of N, P, K and their combine application can significantly improve the economic traits and yield of sesame. There are significantly positive correlations between the nitrogen application rate and plant height, capsule number per plant, seeds number per capsule and 1000\|seed weight. The effects of N, P, K fertilizer on economic traits of Zhengzhi 98N09 are in order: NPK, and on those of Ji 9014 in order: NKP. Economic benefit analysis for different fertilizer treatments through the establishment of a functional equation indicates that the most suitable amount of fertilidr in Zhengzhi 98N09 is N 123.09 kg/ha, P2O5 60.13 kg/ha and K2O 73.31 kg/ha, in Ji 9014 is N 133.92 kg/ha, P2O5 70.85 kg/ha and K2O 110.80 kg/ha. The application of N, P, K fertilizer of Zhengzhi 98N09 should be emphasized with increasing amount of N and supplemented with P and K, and which of the Ji 9014 should be emphasized with increasing amounts of N and K, and supplemented with P.
