THE EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE AND MOISTURE ON NITROGEN MINERALIZATION IN SOILS

  • The relationship between cumulative net N and time obtained from leaching and extracting incubatlon at intervals was analysed using first-order dynamic model under different temperature and moisture. the results showed that temperature didn't affect the N mineralization potential and deeply affected the N mineralization ratio constant(K). The regression equations between K and T were as follows:leaching at intervals with sand: logK=6. 80-2497/T leaching at intervaIs without sand: logK=4.19-1817/T extracting at intervals: logK=6. 47-2937/T.The linear correlation was found between soil moisture and K. The mineralized N increased with soil moisture iricreasing. There was a sharp positive interaction between soil temperature and moisture to K.
