APPLICATION OF FERTILIZATION MODEL FOR FERTILIZER RECOMMENDATION IN CHINA

In the paper, the development of quantitative fertilization techniques and the role of fertilization models were discussed. The emphasis was put on the problems and their solutions in the application of empirical models for fertilization recommendation in Chiria. Recommended rates of fertilizers were overestimated based on the quadratic model: fertillzer reponse could not be described correctly because of the less levels of experiment factors; to ignore the judgen1ent of function extremal and the proporton of the value of output to that of input when determining the optimal rate of fertilizer by the margirial analysis. So that in the application of fertilization models, experimental factors should be reduced while the leve1s for a give should be accordlngly increased,the two linear model should be advocated: judgement of function extramal was essential before analysis.
