Genetic analysis of Zn-efficient nutrition characteristic of rice at different Zn2+ activities

  • The hereditary characteristic of rice(Oryza sativa L.)Znefficient nutrition was studied by using a dilled cross with six different rice genotypes of tolerant to low Zn2+ activity at different Zn2+ activities. It was revealed that, there were different degree hereditary and variation in zinc content and zinc nutrient efficiency of rice seedling, but these traits were mainly affected by interaction effect of gene and environment. The interaction variance of dominant and environment effect was 57.50%-68.35% of total variance. The interaction variance of additive and environment effect was 10.49%-24.44% of total variance. The ability of rice tolerant to low Zn2+ activity was related with dry matter distribution (shoots/roots), zinc transport efficient (from root to shoot) and zinc utilization efficiency of rice. These traits were mainly controlled by dominant effect of gene, secondly by additive effect of gene.
