Effects of the phosphorus, potassium cooperated with calcium onCa absorption of tomato in greenhouse

  • An experiment was conducted to determinate effects of P, K cooperated with Ca on Ca absorption of tomato on a calcareous soil in Greenhouse. The utilization ratio of Calcium was studied using differential method. The experimental design was random block design. Results showed that treatments of CaP1 and CaK2 were best among all treatments. In treatment CaP1 and CaK2, the quantity of total Ca absorption and Ca absorption in fruit were significantly promoted, and the utilization ratio of Calcium was improved. Comparing with the treatments of CaP0 and CaK0, the utilization ratio of Calcium in treatment of CaP1 and CaK2 increased by 10.3% and 16.1% separately. Meanwhile, biological properties of tomato was improved and the tomato fruit yield was increased markedly. The increment of yield was 16.1% and 22.9% for treatment of CaP1 and CaK2 respectively, comparing with the treatment of single applying Calcium. The experiment (also) indicated that CaP1 and CaK2 could increase Vc and sugar content in tomato fruits, reduced the acidity in tomato fruit and the quantity of the rotten fruit. We can concluded that P, K cooperated with Ca could significantly improve the (quality) of the tomato fruit.
