Background of nutrition elements in tea garden soils in Sichuan province

  • The contents of 17 nutritive elements, such as P,S,K,were measured using the ICPAES for 422 samples of soil collected in 035 cm surface layer in 72 counties or sections,Sichuan to study the characters of the background of nutrition elements. The result showed that five elements,P,K,Ca,Mg and S,were relatively deficient in tea garden soil in Sichuan.Micro elements,Mn,B and Zn,were abundant relatively, but Fe、Mo were deficient in most soil.Other elements, such as Se and Sb,were abundant with the enrichment coefficients being 5.45 and 22.3,respectively.The contents of all the nutrition elements in the different areas were significantly different. The background of nutrition elements of varying soil type also showed a determined different. The nutrition elements were relatively abundant in brown soil, and were relatively deficient in red soil. Therefore, rational application of organic fertilizer and the micro elements fertilizers should be involved as the supplements of the deficient elements.
