Response and zinc use efficiency of Chinese cabbage under zinc fertilization

  • Pot experiment was conducted to study the response and zinc (Zn) use efficiency in different cultivars of Chinese cabbage[Brassica campestris L. ssp. Chinensis (L.) Makino](Japan huaguan, JHG; Xiawang, XW; Wuyueman, WYM and Texuanheiye, TXHY) to Zn levels (0, 1 and 10 mg/kg). The results show that biomass and Zn concentrations of the four cultivars are increased with the increase of Zn levels. Sensitivities of the four cultivars to Zn nutrition are significantly different. Shoot Zn concentration, Zn accumulation and Zn uptake efficiency are in order of JHGXWWYMTXHY, while Zn use efficiency is in order of JHG
