Effect of potassium on surface adsorption and interlayer fixation of ammonium in vermiculite

This paper, by analyzing ammonium adsorption at the surface of vermiculite in the binary system (Ca2+ and NH4+) and ternary system ( Ca2+, NH4+and K+), and ammonium fixation in the interlayer of vermiculite with addition of potassium, illustrated that potassium couldn't reduce the adsorption of ammonium at the surface of vermiculite and fixation in the interlayer.
